The Nintendo DS is a console capable of handling full 3D worlds and displaying N64-quality visuals, as shown by Mario 64 DS. Then why are so many of the games on it simple 2D games that the GBA easily could have dealt with? I smell lazy developers, trying to cash in on a popular piece of hardware by making primitive software for it, slapping on a couple of touch screen features, and hoping it will sell. Hopefully this trend will be reversed sooner rather than later, and that we quickly can see the various companies competing in making the best and most ambitious games.

However, there have been some 3D games made for the DS already. Unfortunately, these are all N64-ports. Of good N64 games, mind you. Rayman DS is alongside to Mario 64 DS the best game to buy for those people wanting to see the DS pull of real 3D games, with beautiful visuals to booth. A port of Rayman 2, a game I thoroughly enjoyed on the N64, it promised to be a very real platforming alternative to Mario 64...

THE GOOD:
the good things definately overturn the bad things in this one. some good things are: the graphics, tight gameplay, alright camera control, touch screen can be used for analog control, top screen not cluttered with health bar and # of lums. Also, the variety in gameply is awesome!

THE BAD:
Some bad things i found with this game: some camera issues, had some trouble on the spider web things, the music can be repetitive and quiet, and the analog control on the touch screen is pretty much useless

SUMMARY:
Even if it is an exact port from the N64 version, i didn't play that so i didn't already know the story. the graphics aren't as superb as we've seen on the DS, but they are still very nice. Overall, if you have finished mario and are looking for another platformer, look no further. if you didn't see my score, i give this game a 4.4 out of 5.

THE GOOD:
Don't know. Oh, wait, the gameplay, but a very little bit. Nothing else. Ubisoft frecks

THE BAD:
Almost everything. Game, Graphics, Copying, Lifespan, almost everything. Rayman might have specail powers, but even Rayman 3 on the NES can do better, to be honest. AND neoseeker cant do ranks lower than 1.0 becase I rate this game 0.3 lol.

SUMMARY:
First of all, I hate this game. Its Like Rayman 2 on PS2/PS1. Its that on a handheld console. The touch screen does Nothing! Just moving around that you can do with the +Control Pad that is better. He walks slow, bad manual, I suck more than RR2... Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah. <---- Bad stuff. Also, char don't speck the same than sumbtitles. Nuff said.

THE GOOD:
The graphics, the gameplay, the extreme diffuculty of this game are all PERFECT in every single way shape and or form. The catchy tunes, funny cast of characters such as the Teensies, awesome unique rayman language. If you LOVE a challenging games that at points makes you scream out bad words and yell at rand om people this games for you. There are 19 levels and over 45 areas to explore. Some levels (including the 1st one) took me over an hour of gameplay to beat them! I was amazed at the diffuculty level. But this game'll last you long! It's the perfect game for cravers of strategic gameplay. It somewhat resembles the Zelda games and such in a way.

THE BAD:
The controls suck. seriously.Theres actually somewhat of a delay when pushing the a button on the d-pad. The sounds are great! But I think they've looped somethings a little TO MUCH. Hearing Rayman talking to his friends going ha ha ma ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ha ha ma ba ba ba ba ba ba...
