THE GOOD: You play as a GOD! You control the Sims There Actions There Jobs! There Money How Rich they Are Everything! You are God, you control these Sims fates It's all in your hands
THE BAD: You have to wait for you Sims to wake up when they are asleep and all you can do is sit there and wait. Limits to amount off stuff you can but in your homes Lights take up alot of your Room SPACE! No Naked Sims
SUMMARY: Overall this game is great, great for when you are bored and need something to do. It will kill alot of your time and when you get tried of playing it, four or more hours has gone by. You control your Sims Fate, you can make them die, have sex, have babies, fight, cry, homeless or rich. You have the power, you are a God in this game. You control everything, the Sims world is in your hands. What will you do with it, destory it or make it your Empire.
THE BAD: - controls are harder than pc but its not a big problem - mainly for people that like controling other peoples lives
SUMMARY: Sims was first release on the PC and the game was a huge hit. So it was just a matter of time before he game was realesed onto game consoles.
The Sims can become very very addictive. This is a game where you can be playing it all day and you really just wouldnt get bored but for other users it could seem boring as your control people lives.
Controls for The Sims are abit hard to understand and for a new commer to the game they would find it really hard to control but us sims fans expected that cos we know that a keyboard has alot more butttons that a PS2 controller.
A good feature that has been added to this game is the ability to have 2 player games. This can be really fun and games are only 10 minutes long so users dont normally get bored...
THE GOOD: graphics, realistic, fun, you can make your own people and homes, there are set tasks unlike the PC version.
THE BAD: nothing really apart from it is harder to control than the PC version.
SUMMARY: This is definatly one of the best games ever created on the Ps2 it has everything a good simulation game should have, Its realistic, you can control nearly everything you sim family do. It is a great game for anyone who likes simulation games and it is really fun. I think it is alot better on PC than the ps2 as you can download updates and buy add on packs. it is also easier to control on the pc. My rating is go and buy this game I dont know how you can live with out it.
THE GOOD: -Great Graphics! -Great Music, although it may be elevator! -Great Challenges/Obstacles -Hilarious "Sim Language" (speech & body language)
THE BAD: -This game might trigger some of your nerves because some challenges are hard to overcome, but there are a few cheats if you must.
SUMMARY: I received The Sims as a birthday present this past September and I have been obsessed ever since. If you are someone looking for a game to play that won't get dull, buy this or one of its sequals, and I promise, you will not be dissappointed. This game is great beyond reason and I give it my highest rating! I guarantee you will become obsessed once you have learned how to manuver this entertaining game. The best points of this game is listening to the Sims' jibberish and getting to make your Sim partake in body motions that will have your gut exploding with laughter. This game is mature though, so if you are buying it as a gift, make sure...
THE BAD: There is truely not much to complain about. Besides a few gliches.
SUMMARY: Having the best selling PC game be ported to consol seems like a good idea, and it was! I just hope they make more. And if they do, I hope their as good as this one.
THE BAD: All the events, menus, and interface can be overwhelming Not everyone will like the game The gibberish spoken by the sims can be annoying
SUMMARY: Overall, I loved The Sims. It's incredibly realistic, and there is so much to do. It's also very addictive, and I found myself creating many different characters. The sound is pretty good, but the sims annoying chatter sometimes can be annoying, but you get used to it. Once you learn it, the interface and menus become second nature, and the relationship system I found to be pretty good. But there are so many events going on around your Sim that sometimes handling all the situations by employing the menus, etc. can be a bit overwhelming, but it eventually becomes non-existant. But, while I really enjoyed this game, I know that some will not, but those who do have enough patience to play this game will enjoy it.
THE GOOD: Well, like Mario Sunshine this game has little wrong with it, so naturally, there being nothing wrong with it and its so addictive, it scores pretty high. The gameplay is simple, obvious, and really childish.
THE BAD: I don't like games like this, so I won't be bias. The game is boring and repetitive. Its also really hard at the beginning.
SUMMARY: The interface is easy, at least for people who've played the others for the PC. The game is interesting at best, not really that intrigueing. Its really easy once you get the hang of it and you'll fly throught the game. The multiplayer is extremely stupid. You have to clean the house before some stupid maid finds you... Isn't that what the freakin maid is for???? Well, as I said before, there isn't that much wrong with the game, so If thats what you look at, its a pretty good game.
THE GOOD: Well the good part about The Sims is that well it's well very realistic, & the "chapters" are very nicely done.
THE BAD: Well the slow-motion moving thing is annoying, and you only get 1 story to build the house on, but that's about it!
SUMMARY: Very well done game, it deserves more then a 5/5! It deserve more reviews! Everything else? The game just needs a slight amount of improvement, but that's about it!
THE BAD: tedious at times almost to the point of boredom
SUMMARY: This game is by far one of the best games out there. though i wouldn't buy this game for all my friends, i did get into it. i spent hours upon end playing, even into the night. i think it is quite fun but it can become boring sometimes when you can't get the game to advance.
SUMMARY: Okay this review is really to warn people against doing as I did and spending your hard earned cash on this game. I felt like a strategy/simulation and bought the game regretting it after about 3 days of intensive play.
My problem is not with the ps2 version itself as a reasonable job was done with the port and the get a life mode added some depth, although the game suffers from the inability to download skins, no I question the whole premise of the game. It is the epitamy of boredom to sit there in a static environment following a tedious schedule which replicates life. Sure at first it's entertaining to increase the attributes of your sim and watch him get promoted or find friends and partners but after you've done this the only remaining thing to do is build a dream home and input some cheats. For me this cycle of gameplay lasted for about 3 days.
