Heres a friendly little competition to find out who has the most impressive weapon in the game - include its full name and stats. Go on impress us all.

Umm, that would be the onyx sword, 90-120 damage.

The best item I've seen so far is the ring of strength +14. The dwarf from ACT2 sells it in Extreme mode.

I haven't got to Sleyvas yet so he may well have weapons better than the Onyx sword.

I thought it stopped on +5, am I thinking second edition rules?

I believe there are stronger weapons than the Onyx Sword (in the normal game, not extreme.) In the Onyx Tower, don't open a black chest, first save. Then u can keep opening it until you see a very coool weapon. Just open the chest and look. Then load the save game again and open the chest etc etc The strongest weapon i've seen except for the Onyx Sword is a Great Sword with Flaming Burst that does 72-180 damage.

I went to the same place and I think I picked up a 80's to 230's great sword of shock. Damn that thing's nice.

I'll double check it when I get it hooked up again.

I agree, Gary. Everyone says Drizzt's weapons kinda aren't so hot, but I found them supa nice.

They just freeze the hell outta people and shatter them. Pretty good, I say.

i think that the onyx sword has blasted everything out of the water.

here's a suggestion.

change to topic to WHAT IS THE BEST WEAPON BESIDES THE ONYX SWORD...

now if you are looking at max damage i have found an axe that does (please dont quote me) 250 or 260 damage (its been a while since i have played).

however i tend to like the serrerated items for the constant damage factor.

i will load my game tonight and see what my character has. although i think that i have sold everthing that i found in the tower.

i am also curious as to the damage of that axe.

i'm just a beginner but i have shortbow and a keen spear but i dont now what the best weapon is....

The best weapon is definitely the onyx sword it can kill the end boss in 3-4 hits.
