with the fast approach of Halo 3 i decided to make a thread to see which of the series is your favorite so far:

my vote is for H1 casue the ending on H2 blows and is bungie trying to make you buy the third, which in the current case means you need to dish out the $500.00 for the xbox 360, not cool.

They are both masterpieces, but maybe I prefer H1.

H1: Has better campaign than H2, and multiplayer is great.
H2: Campaign wasn't as good as it was in H1, but the multiplayer is always fun when you're not playing against a n00b.

My vote is for H1 because I like the campaign mode of games better than multiplayer.

if i was to buy a game i'd go for the multiplayer, and not the campaign, maybe co-op though

all though the machine gun and sniperlike pistol are cool in H1

i would have to go Halo 1 because it had my favourite weapon, the pistol. It totally rocks

Yah! I agree... I find campain way more fun than multiplayer cause there's more adventure in it. I like Halo 1 better cause it had great co'op and single player campain levels. I barely ever play multiplayer.

I can play Halo 1 and 2 multiplayer for about 15 minutes then I'm bored... I like Co'op and single player WAY better Cause you get to kill aliens and flood which is funner. But I like Halo 1 better...

H1 because vehicles are indestructible, grenades more powerful, and it's more fun.

H1. I much prefer Halo 1. The campaign feels more like a cohesive game than the Halo 2 Multiplayer training session. They broadened the story, but at the sacrifice of the unstoppable awesomeness of Master Chief. I mean, Halo 1 is basically a 10 hour rampage! With Halo 2, tech advances means more bodies on screen, and so they adjusted it to fit in more squad-type play. This means higher difficulty. Dual-Wielding sucks, and why did they have to split the Assault Rifle, and why did they throw in all those other weapons? In Halo 1, the weapons were elemental: Pistol, Shotgun, Assault Rifle, Sniper Rifle, and Rocket Launcher! Then they went and added all that weird stuff in there. Grenades: the reduced effectiveness of grenades arises organically through the gigantic open levels, which I will admit are cool, but you can't get a decent stick anymore.
