Auto–Adjusting Difficulty Levels

Much–hyped on release, did anyone notice if this had any effect on their gameplay? I did, but only purely by accident after I played it to death and then exhausted the awesome Kung Fu mods. I went through killing all enemies with a single beretta blast to the head. If I messed up I reloaded. Of course, that doesn't work with bosses, but ordinary enemies died that way … Until I reached chapter 6 or 7 of Part I. Suddenly they started taking 2 shots to the head to die. Hmmm. Not much in the way of difficulty adjustment!

re: Auto–Adjusting Difficulty Levels

Yeah, I agree with you there, I think it is auto-adjusted. I am on the third part, chapter 7 or 8 I think and now the "agents" that you face (instead of the stupid drug dealers or whoever they are) can withstand around about 5-7 shots with the Beretta. Even with the Colt Commando, they can withstand quite a lot of shots.

But you could always take down a guy from the start with one shot from your Beretta because they were more weak, so yes, I guess the game does auto-adjust different difficulty levels from the beginning (easy) to the end (which is obviously hard.)

EDIT:

I didn't know where else to put this, but hell yeah! I completed the game yesterday. I planned on beatening it at the weekend and it was on a Saturday! I loved every minute of it and I'm going to write a review soon. Yeah! It rocked with lots of plot twists and turns. I couldn't believe some things turned out so wierd, like you were expecting this and that to happen, but suddenly the storyline changed completely! And what's more, I loved destroying Valkyr Boss, Nicole Horne in that helicopter in the last level! Yeah!! Can't wait to complete the game in Hard Boiled and New York Minute mode, though. It will be worth the challenge.

Also, I CANNOT wait for Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne! I plan to get it soon! Also, I cannot wait for the supposed "planned" movie that will come out in 2007.

YEAH! THREE CHEERS FOR ROCKSTAR!
