Most hated things / improvements that should be made about oblivion? |
|
Saw a thread about your " favourite " thing and figured why not talk about your most hated things about oblivion? For me that's just the fact anyone at all can easily level up from 1-20+ in less then on day simply by going to Pyrite Shrine and spamming destruction spells or meele or what ever combat they use to level up on the frozen NPC's that never die. Also I hate how there's a skeleton key... it makes security completely pointless, and worse of all, it's very easy to obtain. What do you guys really dislike/wish was different about oblivion?

On my version of oblivion some of the NPC's voices change lol XD
I would like to see more flying enemies and some more armor types and weapons. Hopfully in the next game we will see more of these things. And we have fame and infamy but they dont affect your gameplay much. Like in fallout your karma affects the way you play the game and decides who will folow you and other things. I would like to see this in oblivion and i think it will make the game more fun ------------------- "Master Saiyan" "power level = UNthinkable" Lol

I'd change the environment, the environment was bland in this game. Swamp, plains, forests, and snow is just to boring, we've all seen those things hundreds of times before in tonnes of different games.

quote Action911Agreed... I also hate dungeons! Puzzles suck, and you gotta do a lot of them for guild quests and some main quests... but at least there's usually some nice rewards within them ------------------- MC DONALDS RAP!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5sw2OvIgoO8 Click below to help. http://s1.bite-fight.us/c.php?uid=252969

quote botanistAgreed. Granted, the lack of specialization in skills at higher levels (ie, you pretty much become a master in almost everything towards the end) kind of equalizes this problem. But if I want to play a specialist wizard, by god I need to have a shitload of magicka to be effective.

Specialist refers to any field where only a small number of skills are specialized in (ie, mastered). A specialist would truly master those skills better than someone who learns a broader spectrum of skills.
Think of it like a Jack of All Trades knows many skills but masters none. A specialist would be the only one able to master in his field's skill set. If he is truly a master then he should be immensely powerful in that field. The only thing I can compare it to that makes perfect sense would be Diablo II. At one point in the game, when played online, they patched the game so that the only way players could be effective would be to specialize in their skill tree. If you didn't then you just sucked and would die all the damn time.

quote Leutooh okay, well i have a level 38 breton mage that i gave 4000 magicka with the permanent enhancement glitch and i accidently gave him 150% shield so he'll never die by meele... so i just dont go on him anymore.. point is he mastered everything except resto and alchemy and i feel that 4000 magicka still isn't enough... crazy right? ------------------- MC DONALDS RAP!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5sw2OvIgoO8 Click below to help. http://s1.bite-fight.us/c.php?uid=252969

re: Most hated things / improvements that should be made about oblivion? |
quote Sterlin22I'd say so. You can make the following spell: Fire Damage 100 points in 50 feet on Target Frost Damage 100 points in 50 feet on Target Shock Damage 100 points in 50 feet on Target Damage Health 100 points in 50 feet on Target At Destruction level 100, this costs 2835 Magicka. Use it once, and pretty much anything you cast it at is going to be dead, along with anything in the general area. Even if it isn't, all you have to do is avoid them for 16 seconds, then cast the spell again. And you want more Magicka? -------------------
