Just for show. The only time you can actually scalp someone is when they're effectively defeated, they can't get up.


It looked good on paper, but the way it was implemented was pretty pathetic.

I wish there was a point to scalping, but alas there seems to be no point at all. It would have been cool to have an achievement attached to scalping

They should have implemented some kind of goal involving scalping and/or added scalping in your stats or something just to indicate it's relevance.

yeah, scalping is a bit poor. all you see is the guy standing ove the mans face and hearing groans.

Scalping wasn't invented by natives nor seen and used as a ac deserving of a reward. It was invented by white men when they decided that Indian's were evil. You'd get some cash for every scalp you brought in. The Indian's took it up as revenge because people would wound or simply hold down someone, scalp them and leave them for dead...usually women and children cause it's easier to hold them down.

I was hoping to be able to scalp anyone! All you do is crouch over them and wave your hand over their head while ribbons of blood come out. Their scalp is still on afterwards too!
