Talk to Typhon in the eastern part of town. Give him a Cat's Paw and wait one hour. Give him a Rubber Doll and wait for three hours. Give him a bottle of Rot Gut and he'll give you a clue as to where his hidden treasure might be. You also gain 2000 xp. The next part is purely optional. Go to the town well and manipulate it. You find the treasure, but it falls down the well, and you're too big to go down there. How appropriate that a small treasure hunter is just nearby! Talk to Micky and he goes down to retrieve... 10,000 Bottle Caps. Useless. And no, you can't get Micky back up again.

i think you should try it at lest once in the online part you can be a deathclaw, super mutant, robot, ghoul, and even a dog. you can also pick what weapons and equipment you want out of all the kinds they have in the game.

1a: Typhon is in the Old Ghoul's Home, i.e., the building where you transplant Seymour to. Typhon stands still next to the wall in the lower left room, and you won't notice him until you move far enough into the room to make the wall invisible.

1b: Jacob the Chemist is on the extreme east edge of downtown, just south of Doc Holliday's.

Mr. Bishop actually doesn't give a wet slap whether, or how many times, you sleep with Mrs. or Angela Bishop. The problem is if he joins conversation with you when you have no 'business' being upstairs. There are two solutions here:

8a) Avoid conversation by Sneaking, running, etc.

8b) Before you sleep with her, get permission to be upstairs by telling the bodyguards at the bottom of the stairs that you intend to deliver Moore's briefcase to Mr. Bishop. Showing it to them once is all it takes, and you will forevermore be able to pass them, go upstairs, visit the pool table, etc.

The interesting question is whether sleeping with either of these women is really worth it. Not only have you lost your car in coming to this town, but sleeping with the Bishop women triggers a bug that causes your NPCs to disappear. Sleeping with them again is supposed to bring your guys back, but it didn't work for me...

nice that explains a lot, but i think I'm going to go with the second way, Ive all ready tried to snick and run buy them i git all the way to the second floor before they killed me. i even have the briefcase.

• Here's another thing to think about while in New Reno: if you have a current quest from any of the families, you want to avoid talking to the boss until the quest is complete. For instance, after getting the "Kill Westin" job from Mr. Bishop, i ended up passing by him twice while getting the combo to his safe and the Pip Boy Lingual Enhancer. The first time i was able to get out of conversation by saying 'not yet' in answer to whether the quest was done. The second time it wasn't an option - combat was mandatory. The solution i choose to avoid this problem is the same as avoiding the pickpockets in The Den - go into combat just before going by.

• Further about #9: I think you wish to become Captain Of The Guard. To do so, the First Citizen has to really like you when you bring Westin's Holodisk to her. That means you need CH8 [take Mentats as needed] and speak to her very respectfully before actually giving her the disk. Per Jorner, in his walkthrough, suggests to call her "First Citizen" 10 to 15 times - more if you've ever been rude to her.

I have discovered another issue that can lead to unwanted conversation with a boss: don't save while in the room with the boss. In such a case, after loading the game the boss will typically begin conversation with you.
