Can't kill it much less damage it. Do I need a special weapon?

All you need to fight it are your knives and bombs. Throw knives at it till it gets all woozy, then hurl a bomb at it to flip it over. Then you can chop at its tummy all you like.

Or you can get in close use your block and then strike when the crab pauses. He'll get woozy and flip over then use your bombs! You'll have to learn how to block sooner or later

lead hi t the waters edge tll he stops following then throw minikegs ar him like mad. Every few throws you'll get him on his back and hurt. When you run out of kegs make a mad dash for more kegs around the area they regenerate so you never run out so don't worry aobut usng lots.

Repeat till he's kaput.

I tried it but I think it`s only work in Easy, in Normal or Hard he always take my life even if I block. The only way I find it`s to use my knives

Don't bother throwing minikegs at the crab until you're sure they'll have an effect; most of the time, the kegs will flip him over, but he'll just right himself immediately afterward. You need to catch him off guard before you flip him over.
To do that, just get right up in the big guy's face and hack away at him, and don't forget to block. After a bit of this, he'll be stunned--THIS is when you run away and fling a keg at him. Then just dash right up to him and carve up his poor unprotected belly with your sword. You'll have to do this about three times, if you're quick; a full-on attack when he's on his back will do about two skulls' worth of damage, and he has six.
The giant crab has this one attack where he just charges at you with his claws held in front of his face, and I haven't found any way to block this or stop him from doing it other than just getting hit by it. Any tips out there?
