Help with installing mods |
|
Hey there, I am having a bit of trouble installing mods onto my PS3. Whenever i go to import them it comes up with No storage data can be found and I have tried all three folder names to use:
I am only putting one file on at a time by the way. I heard someone say somewhere they you have to save the mod to the file directory. How do I do that? Thanks for your time. ------------------- ![]() ![]()

You have updated the game with the patch right? If so, you no longer use any of that file structure. You can delete the whole thing. Now the USERDATA.JAM goes right in the main root of the storage card or stick.

I don't think I have the latest patch. how do I go about getting it? Doesn't it usually ask to update when you boot the game?
Thanks for your help ------------------- ![]() ![]()

If your PS3's online it will automatically download the patch as soon as you boot up the game. If you've played once in the last 2 weeks you had to have already done it, unless you're not online. Then you just put the userdata in the main root. If you don't have the patch, then you'd still have to use the old file structure.
Edit. Oh and if you don't have the patch the file structure is PS3>SAVEDATA>the BLUS or BLES file (depending on your game's region)>USERDATA.JAM goes in the BLUS or BLES file. ------------------- ![]() Deny Ignorance. http://thelivingmoon.com PS3 UT3 mods @ http://ut3mod.com

Turns out I do have the patch installed. One thing you say "put the userdata into the main root", where abouts is the main root and do i just drag the userdata to it? Thanks for your time.

I'm sure you got it by now, but the main root is just the main directory of the device. Is in, as soon as you open it. It just goes right there. In other words the game doesn't look in any folders to find the USERDATA.JAM. It looks right in the main directory.

what he meant was you just drop it onto a removable device without putting in it into any folder. aka the ROOT
anyways then go into the game (if not already) and go under Community then under the content screen (2nd from the top) press the import button, select the device you have the mod on and then it should install on your system. ------------------- ![]() Fragments of Darkness, Shards of Light. Some of the mods take upwards of three minutes to unpack. Especially the multi-map or multi-character mods.
And I'm not sure but I thought I seen "they" in your post, you can only import one at a time. I only get my mods from UT3MOD.com. The way they have it setup now you don't need a pc anymore you can do it right through your PS3, sorry if you have heard all this before.
