It says on back of box there's blood and gore but never seen any of it! (why?)

Yeah, now that you mention it I see that too. I guess it could be from the opening vid...I can't remember any blood or gore in that. It's implied though so maybe that's enough to put it on the rating.

this game desperately needs a blood patch... I mean, when you bail and slide like 30 ft. on your face? c'mon!

In the scene after you get hit by the bus, " The gonz " Is operating on you. The blood is then on a rag thrown over his shoulder.

Is it really necessary to have blood in a sports game. I understand having blood and gore in shoot 'em up games but a skateboarding game. There really isn't a need for it.

well if their seeking to highlight realism, why wouldnt they?

It would make a lot of sense if there was some form of blood and/or gore in a skateboarding game. Not anywhere near the intensity of something like Left4Dead, but it would make sense. Not necessarily blood like spurting out of your body when you bail, but if you were to slide on your arm a bit, it would make sense if you got a little bit cut up. In real skateboarding, you fall you get cut up.

Yeah thats what I was referring to when I said blood spurting out of your body when you bail. They just tried to make it to show that you got hurt I'm assuming. Back when it first came out it was cool, but the same effects in the new games are just bad looking.
