Can anyone clarify what they mean with "gained through pollination" on some of the badges. Example "Defeat many creatures gained through pollination".

"Gained though pollination" is random creatures you encounter that aren't one of the species encountered in the game.

Badges are obtained by doing stuff in the game.
Pollination takes two forms. 1: manually tranferring stuff to someoneelse's game (never don it don't know how) 2: the game will sometimes randomly seed monsters that aren't actual species. Sometimes it'll borrow one of your creations for this. | |

the creatures gained through polination are ones that came from wifi.even if you didnt download them they still appear.then you beat the poo out of 'em
