1) If you continue to play a game you started before trophies were patched in you will not get trophies for the medals you receive in this game.

Well I've had the game since friday and I've managed to get all but four trophies. The remaining four are primarily three difficulty wins (Normal - Crushing) and one weapon kill. The weapon kill should be fine as soon as I get to the area in which I can use the weapon. As for the others... I'm playing Hard Now (with weapon select though), and will try Crushing straight after. Though Hard Mode is hard and I'm using weapon select I'm really REALLY dreading Crushing Mode.

I always thought using cheats would block the Trophies. I didn't cheat at all throughout my playthroughs.
Crushing IS easier then Hard mode. Try it without cheating. It'll give you an even bigger sense of achievement.

From what I heard you can't use cheats in Crushing. Also, I just played a bit of Hard (Before reading this post ) WITHOUT cheats and I actually found it to be easier using hte weapons I find than to rely on weapon select (and my weapon select was the WES - One Hit KO's all the time). I'm now just going to play through on hard using whatever weapon I find. Btw what is the part that everyone gets stuck on? And anyone got any tips for the part where those damn spaniards start attacking me? I died like 100 times on easy, and I don't want that to be repeated esp on hard and then on crushing.

Try Crushing with only the 9mm. You'll need infinite ammo though. All the parts with rushers, snipers and m79ers are shit hard.
