Getting this game!? |
|
I know it's a bit late, but during the holidays, once i get kz2, i may be investing in this game. Since it's platnium its only like 50 dollars, or i can rent it for a week for like 7.50 $ Would it be worth it to buy it or just rent it?

As much as I love this game...rent it. It's actually pretty short, and there isn't much on the lines of replay value. Not counting deaths, one YouTube playthrough amounted to around 4 hours. So...yeah, rent it first, if you like it, buy it.

It depends. If you plan on getting all the trophies, buy it. If you plan on playing through it once. Rent it.

One playthrough won't last you long (10 hrs max), but there a lot of unlockables, and the Crushing difficulty will offer a fun but quite challenging experience.

This is one of very few games I decided to keep - I admit its partly because you would get nothing for it anyway. Buy it as its cheap now and worth playing through atleast twice - even if once now and one before the second game is released.
I have completed it twice, its a simple game but personally I relly like it. Some amazing graphics and good story and gameplay. -------------------

I just picked up this game but already I find it very repetitive. The storyline is great, but every few minutes you enter another firefight and it is almost the same style. Like it was stated above, if you are going to want to get all the trophies, then buy it - if not rent it.

I just watched the trailer for 2 and thought it looked really good, so I'm mildly interested in it.
Do I need to play 1 to understand 2 you think? Or could I get by without 1? ------------------- ![]() *clickclickboom*

My guess is it's just like the Indiana Jones movies. You don't need to watch the first one to understand the rest. Each one has a different adventure.

I would say buy this game because it is great and to support the PS3s poor sales in exclusives. I really fell in love with the characters in the game which is a big reason why I'm pumped for the second game.
I did see the game getting repetitive but Naughty Dog throws curveballs later in the game and switch things up after a little bit. At first I thought the same thing but wanted to beat it and am glad I did. As I got further in the game I liked it more. ------------------- ![]() Wii: 2909-9932-6412-3857 The Conduit: 2707-9414-1620 Brawl: 3866-7691-9411
