Are potentials affected by game playing style |
|
Hi All,
Just finished my first run through of the game and loved it; However a few of my characters picked up some less then stella potentials such as Klutz or coward or head lit deer. I am starting my second run through of the game (from new game not the cleared reload) and wondered if I will get exactly the same potentials again or whether they are a) random or b) caused as a result of how that character was controlled in battle. Could someone please answer this for me. Many thanks

I actually think they are set for each character, it just takes time to learn the potiental.
My reason is that it was not random for the individuals who got "Dark Hair hating potentials" because no Dark Hair would ever get that potential. Same for the Dark Hair loving potentials, only Dark Hairs can get those potentials. I believe they are preset for each character. -------------------

Hi shadowguard,
Again thank you for the reply, thats a great shame though, I was really hoping some of the negative ones where affected by game play and could therefore be done differently. I only really have 1 engineer, Nadine, who doenst have negative potentials (not counting pollen allergy) Mind you I only have the engineers at 11 so leveling them up some more may help. Can you remeber some of the better potentials engineers get as thhhey reach Master?

Well, the reason is for it to balanced. If you have an all powerful character for that job, you will no doubt use that character the entire game without looking or worrying about the other characters. It is up to you to determine your party's strengths and weaknesses.
This site has the list of all potentials for each character Knute is the first engineer and the last engineer is Claudia -------------------

Most of them are nowhere near as bad as they sound, or have easy fixes like moving away from the grass, road etc. Battle potentials (the ones you get from leveling up) are always beneficial, so you don't have to worry about that either. ------------------- RMM311: I demand you stop being right

Some characters don't have very good or bad potentials, some have extremely bad potentials, and a really good one. It'd be best to choose people who's potentials fit your fighting style. For instance, if you hide out in tall grass a lot don't take Marina, who has a pollen allergy. I recruited from looks alone, just for fun ------------------- ![]() // more agile than a president dodging a shoe //
