I know you guys must have seen threads like this a million times, so sorry in advance.
Right so basically I don't have this computer yet, but I'm buying the parts and building it in a few weeks and I was wondering how well I could run this game. Processor: AMD Phenom II Black Edition X3 Tri Core 720 2.8GHz Graphics: Sapphire ATI Radeon 4870 HD 512MB RAM: 4GB 1066MHz DDR2 OS: Windows XP Service Pack 3 ------------------- Shortest straw

yeah, good fps on high settings and 30% view and detail distance.
of course you'll have to download a patch... -------------------

It fixes a helluva lot of bugs with the game, the third one, and increases fps by about 50%.
And its free so why ignore it? Mind you, without the patch, you're going to be in trouble with this game. And I don't assure you of the high settings. Anything can happen with this game's performance. -------------------

Oh right I see, I thought the patch might have been needed because of my rig. If it's just an ordinary patch then that makes sense to download it.
I don't even mind so much about high settings, just running the game smoothly is all I want really. Cheers for the help  ------------------- Shortest straw
