Troubles With Call of Duty 5 World at War |
|
I want to know if anyone else is having the same troubles as me. I just bought this game yesterday, Nov. 12 and installed when I got home from work. All seems to be working well but then after a few missions in single player mode, it locks up. Not just the game but the computer as well, causing me to reset the whole computer.

It could be that your Computer has not got enough RAM (Random-acess memory) and it locks up due to not enough to run the game anymore.

re: Xbox 360 Rapid Fire Controller |

I only used this rapid fire controller if some of the players are using it too to have a fair game specially in COD4. But when i tried to used it for COD5:World At War, it fires rapid for the first shot but after that it goes back to a normal mode of fire?Have you guys experiencing this one?
I thought my controller malfunction but when i switch to COD4, it works perfectly. It just so weird about it. Maybe Treyarch, reprogram the system that no rapid fire is allowed in Multiplayer online.

I have 4 gig of ram and 8800gtx ultra video card, window XP Pro, Intel Quad CPU and I have many issues with the game.
1. No tech support ? 2. Games Locks up computer to blue screen on exit 3. When searching for multiplayer sights it will not allow you to enter the games after it finishes the search - you have to wait 5 minutes or so before you can try - if it fails you have to reload the whole game - then sometimes it screws up the whole network and I have to reboot the modem before it will work. 4. I talked with someone at Treyarch and they said they did not have tech support for the game - told me to contact Activision. Activision says they have no multi player phone support and the single player is basically blaming your computer. If everyone is having the same problem I doubt that. 5. For the most part the game is good - but there are too many problems that were evident in the beta version that just were not addressed and appear not to be on anyone at Activision or Treyarchs priority list. Crap Crap Crap.

Mark, when you fetch the list and then you lose your connection or game hangs, or network hangs or whatever, this is due to your hardware firewall... Go to your router options and disable the firewall.. The packets are just to much for a firewall to handle, so it hangs. Just do this and you're set.

You have to do a set up on the router for call forwarding. There should be a tab for it under gaming. You will have to open the range from 28930 to 28960 (Both UDP & TCP). Then you supply it with your internal IP address (usually 192.168.1.100). Do the run cmd to get a dos screen & then ipconfig to confirm it.
Then in your firewall you have to allow both the CODWaW.exe & CODWaWmp.exe internet access.
